The aircraft represented by this model — Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 ZK367 — is one of the RAF’s modern multi-role fighters, currently operated by No. 41 Test & Evaluation Squadron (41 TES).
This 1:72 Italeri build, finished in 41 Squadron’s distinctive markings and coded “EB-R”, captures both the modern capabilities of the Typhoon and the historic lineage of the squadron.
ZK367 is an RAF Typhoon FGR.4, part of the later production batches delivered to the UK. Typhoons in this block benefited from updated sensors, improved avionics, and enhanced multi-role capabilities, making them ideal for test & evaluation work.
41 Squadron is not a frontline combat squadron but instead serves as the RAF’s fast-jet test unit, responsible for:
· trialling new weapons
· testing avionics and software upgrades
· developing tactics for frontline Typhoon and F-35 squadrons
